The World’s ‘Most Expensive’ Valentines’ Day Dinner Costs UK£61,000

The dinner menu for the “most expensive” Valentines’ Day dinner

Michelin starred chef Adam Simmonds, luxury website VeryFirstTo and Great British Chefs have presented us with the world’s “most expensive” Valentines’ Day dinner.

The delicacies in this meal include almus white caviar that is worth UK£3,000, Natives South Sea oysters including pearls and UK£2,000 worth of gold leaf.

Corney & Barrow has also come up with the drinks menu that includes a UK£17,000 bottle of La Romanee-Conti wine.

However, this luxury meal has generated controversy as it serves Bluefin Tuna, a species of fish close to extinction.

Despite this, VeryFirstTo is focused on creating a romantic atmosphere for the couple as they dine, such as sprinkling the table with rose petals, and releasing a dozen white doves. The pièce de résistance features a harpist and a poet to entertain the couple.

According to the chef, “Each dish has been created with romance in mind and to allow the spectacular ingredients to work their magic,” ensuring that both the food and atmosphere will complement each other.

What do you think—would you go for this dinner if you had the money, or will the destruction of wildlife be on your conscience?
