Artist Hikaru Cho, known for her bizarre hyperrealistic paintings, has a fun series titled ‘It’s not what it seems’ where she cleverly turns everyday foods into other foods with paint.
Using acrylic paint, she skilfully transforms an egg into an eggplant, a banana into a cucumber, and a tomato into an orange. Slightly surreal and offbeat, her creations possess a remarkable realism, and you might mistake them for the foods they are painted as before realizing they are not what they appear to be.
Check out some photos below and keep up with the series at her website.
