In a beautiful and thought-provoking series, Canadian photographer Benoit Paillé goes off the beaten track to photograph ‘Rainbow Gatherings’, which are temporary intentional communities living alternative lifestyles, typically held in places hidden from civilisation.
The photographer was first interested in his art while attending his first Rainbow Gathering, and said, “You return from a Rainbow with ideas, ideas for changing your life. Personally, I’ve never felt comfortable with the life I was living, and I questioned it… We discover that it is possible to be happy living another way.”
The largest rainbow gathering to date was attended by 30,000 people in Washington State.
