Located in the Hyogo Prefecture of Sanda City, Japan, the Future Sweets Factory is a special place reserved only for children aged 12 and under.
Both children and adults make their way through an egg-shaped dome, which is the entrance of the shop. After that, parents will wait for their kids in the Waiting Hall while the children make their way into the store.
Inside, there are figurines of cartoon characters and robots to amuse the children while they are treated exclusively to all kinds of sweets—just before they hit the stores. Kids can also buy three special treats for ¥150 each.
Meanwhile, parents can buy “Matteru”—a fluffy milk biscuit—as they wait for their children. They come in two flavors—a plain biscuit with milk-butter filling and a chocolate one with a caramel filling.
After their visit, the children are encouraged to tell their parents about what they have seen in the factory. Chef Susumu Koyama, the shop owner, wants to encourage children to talk to their parents, and have parents listen to what their kids have to say.
Koyama stated that he has benefited from such an environment, and hopes that these little kids will, too.
