Infographic: How To Navigate The Coffee Capitals Of Europe

If you’ve ever been to Paris, Rome or Barcelona, you’ll know that these cities have a bustling café culture, with each boasting its own distinct customs and practices for ordering, serving and enjoying coffee.

It can be confusing to keep track of the differences between each city, but luckily holiday rental website HouseTrip has created an infographic to help you navigate the aforementioned coffee capitals like a pro.

Bursting with useful tips like how to order various types of coffee in French, Italian and Spanish, it helpfully charts the strength of each brew from weakest to strongest, and even features a list of cafés in each city to check out.

The infographic also includes cultural quirks unique to each country. For example, coffee is only served with food during breakfast in France, while asking for a latte will get you a glass of milk in Italy. As for Spain, it’s a common sight to see bars serving both alcohol and coffee.
