In the circus universe, is a clown still a clown if it brings you no joy?
Swedish photographer Peter Lundström captures a disturbing series that features a clown from dystopia.
Called ‘Circus Depression’, the series features the melancholic side of the professional prankster and children entertainer.
Devoid of all delight, he makes no balloons nor dresses in bright clothes, but bears a frown.
Was every bit of joy, in front of children who love him, feigned? Or is his sorrow stemmed from being forgotten by the children who grew up?
