The brown paper bag has gotten swanky.
For last season’s runway show, Jil Sander featured a long, rectangular brown paper bag.
The paper bag—called the ‘Vasari’ purse—was made of 100% coated paper with stitched seams, two gold-colored metal eyelets at the bottom, and the designer’s logo.
But don’t be fooled by its simple and down-to-earth look, the lunch bag was priced at a whopping US$290 ($185 British pounds).
It’s probably worth more than what you can stuff in it—and contrary to its hobo-like design, it’s definitely not meant for real hobos.
