Pigeons In Copenhagen Get A Fresh Coat Of Paint

To add some color to the streets of Copenhagen, Berlin-based artists Julian Charriere and Julius von Bismarck have dyed the feathers of several gray pigeons to make them look like tropical birds.

According to the artists, besides injecting color to the streets, they also wanted to change people’s perception of pigeons—which are considered a menace by many.

Using a special pigeon trapping apparatus, pigeons that are caught will be automatically airbrushed im different colors before being released.

Although several people have cried out over the supposed cruelty behind capturing and dyeing of the pigeons, the artists have claimed that the dyed used is toxic-free and the pigeons will not be harmed.

What do you think? Animal cruelty or works of art?
