UK-based Ian Cooper and Jake Osborne created a ‘robot bartender’ that dispenses the perfect cocktail every time without the hassle.
Called ‘The Inebriator’, the home-made automatic cocktail dispensing machine is powered by an Arduino board and dispenses signature cocktails from ‘Screw Drivers’ to ‘Sex On The Beach’, and ‘Voodoo’—making the task easy for you and your guests.
It contains various spirits, such as vodka, rum, coffee liquer, tequila, peach schnapps, coconut rum and blue caruçao; and mixers, such as orange juice, grapefruit juice, milk, grenadine, mixed tropical juice, lemon juice and cranberry juice.
“Most parties we have been to, there is a good selection of spirits and mixers, but no one has the inclination to make cocktails,” the duo wrote. “This project is designed to make it as simple and as feasibly possible to get perfect cocktails every time without the hassle of looking up ingredients or measuring spirits and mixers.”
All users have to do is to: “Grab a glass, fill it with ice, select desired drink, and a few seconds later your cocktail is ready, to finish it off give it a little stir.”
Cooper and Osborne created the cocktail machine using an Arduino board, a Hitachi display, a stepper motor, a DC motor, pipes, a gas tank, a force sensitive resistor, an RFID sensor, and RGB LEDs.
