It is not secret that the well-loved, Disney-fied classic fairytales of today started out as much darker stories.
New York-based illustrator and graphic designer Haejeon Jessica Lee has created a trio of disturbingly macabre posters that feature illustrations that reflect this gruesome past.
Part of an on-going series—‘La Ligue’ —these foldable posters depict a whip-wielding Red Riding Hood and a man-eating Sleeping Beauty, among other ghastly details that are definitely not children-friendly.
The illustrator will continue to add to this series, so check back at her website for more of her delightfully dark spin on famous fairytales.
