In an effort to keep up with Google and Apple in the mobile maps-race, Nokia has introduced ‘HERE ’, a location and mapping service.
Based on HTML 5, according to statement by Nokia, the app offers offline capabilities, voice-guided walk navigation and public transport directions.
The app also has a Community View features, which allows users to see community-sourced information about the local area, in addition to the company’s offering.
Nokia has also partnered up with Mozilla to bring a mobile web version of HERE Maps for Firefox OS next year.
