Apple To Trademark ‘Leaf’ In Logo?

In a new filing with the European Trademark Registry, Apple has applied for a trademark to its ‘leaf’ on its iconic logo.

According to The Register, Apple is only looking to protect the leaf portion of its logo, and not the entire logo itself.

If the application is approved, the trademark will cover “10 classes of products including computers, jewelry, educational material, footwear, film streaming services and paper packaging for audio tapes”.

Apple previously submitted a similar application in China, however, it is unclear if that trademark was approved.
