Interactive developer Sam Brenner has designed a ‘Cat Car’—a device that lets cat owners ‘drive’ their feline pets with a steering wheel and a laser pointer harness.
Owners control the steering wheel by turning it, which causes the laser pointer to move—encouraging the cat to follow the laser’s path.
The laser pointer is attached to a servo on the harness that is worn by the cat.
According to Brenner, he said, “…the safety and wellbeing of the cats involved was my top priority in testing this project”.
The ‘Cat Car’ was initially intended as a cat exercise toy, but it eventually turned into something far more entertaining, reported Engadget.
