Siobhan Meow is a Manhattan-based multimedia artist who uses cat poop and urine in her paintings.
According to a Local East Village blog post, it said that since the mid-nineties, Meow has been rescuing felines—and at one point, kept 100 cats in her home.
She uses her pets as inspiration for her paintings, ceramics and photography—going as far as collaborating with one of them, Jupiter, by mixing his fur, urine and poop—into her paintings.
After he passed away, she dedicated her current collection of paintings to him.
In the video below, the artist talks about inspirations and Jupiter’s ability to “think out of the litter box”.
