The Japanese are known for their innovative and cute creations—so it is not surprisingly that the trend of adorable “toast art” is currently all the rage in the land of the rising sun.
The concept is is simple enough—create cute images of cartoon characters on your toast by selectively covering up areas on the bread with aluminum foil.
To make their edible artworks more attractive, some people have added a three-dimensional element by embellishing their toast with food like ham and cheese, which are commonly consumed together with bread.
The problem is, these toasts may now be much too cute to actually eat.
