In addition to Twitter, Facebook and Flickr, the White House is now on Pinterest, where it will be sharing “inspiring images and quotes to infographics that help explain key issues to details about the life inside the White House”–among other interesting things.
As part of President Obama’s bid to make the White House one the most open and welcoming one in history, this new Pinterest account is set to go active on 17 December 2012.
To celebrate this social media launch, the account’s new followers are invited to an "Holiday Social" at the White House, where they will be able to view its holiday decorations and be involved in a special craft project.
Unfortunately, the registration for this event is now closed—but you can still keep up with what happens at the White House Pinterest account.
