A French Amusement Park Populated With Steampunk Creatures

Inspired by the work of Jules Verne and Da Vinci’s machines, designers François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice decided to make a steampunk themed amusement park populated with sea creatures.

Located opposite the Jules Verne museum in Nantes, France, the park is called Les Machines de l’le de Nantes, which translates as “The Machines of Nantes Island”.

Some cool attractions include riding a 12m tall mechanical elephant, and the “Marine Worlds Carousel” where children can hitch a ride on their favorite sea creature.

For those who’d like a sneak peek behind the scenes, the "Machine Gallery” is where all the new steampunk animals are exhibited.

Those who are more adventurous may ride on these machines, while those who are more timid may want to go on the gallery tour.
