Korean artist Horyon Lee has created a fascinating series of paintings, which look just like double exposure photographs.
Giving the viewer a multiple-shot perspective in a single frame, double exposure photography is popular for its surrealist element—when rendered with paint on canvas, this aspect is even more visually striking than when it is produced by a camera.
By taking several pictures of the model in a specific pose, the artists then re-compose them with Photoshop to create over-lapping images.
Featuring subjects who are positioned and clothed suggestively, Lee’s paintings are highly erotic and reflects the “revealing and hiding” style of double exposure photography.
