Italian design studio Tavomatico has created a cool and stylish coffee table with a car tire.
To make this “Tire Table”, the rubber wheel is sandwiched between two pieces of circular plexiglass—this simple construction not only creates a table top but also a storage space inside the tire.
It is also fixed with rotating metal wheels on the bottom so as to allow the user to move it to a desired spot around the house or office.
This hardy piece of furniture is made to be odorless and resistant to wear and tear—considering that the tire was initially meant to be used on the road, we figure that it would take quite a lot to significantly damage the table.
Available in both bright colors and classic black, this innovative design will be sure to add a quirky touch to any space.
