Toronto-based artist William Fisk has produced a collection of astoundingly photorealistic paintings that is simply titled “Portraits”—instead of people, they depict second-hand items like vintage gadgets.
From an old Minolta camera to a pair of over-sized retro headphones, these paintings could easily be mistaken for photographs—it is hard to believe that they have been created with brushes and pigments.
Made for personal collections and corporate boardrooms, these would look equally good in the home of anyone who is nostalgic for the product designs of yesteryears.
Fisk also paints items such as light bulbs, shoes and furniture—view the entire Portrait Series on his website.
