Architect Clive Wilkinson designed the new office for internet advertising company Barbarian Group in New York City—the 23,000-square-foot space is built around an amazing, 1,100-foot-long continuous table that seats all of the 125 employees.
Capable of seating up to 175 people, this snake-like, undulating white desk brings open-plan organization to an extreme—sloping upwards at certain points to create cozy alcoves underneath it for meeting and common areas, it gives the working space an “open, fluid and free flowing” atmosphere.
Designed to encourage collaboration and communication, this attention-grabbing office also includes a comfortable and welcoming communal space for eating and gathering.
Watch the video below to get a tour of this inspiring and creative office—would you like to work at the same desk with over a hundred of your colleagues?
