New York City-based artist John McGregor, also known as Brother Brain, has created a collection of animated pixel GIFs that mash popular movies and video games.
For his series ‘BITS vs PICS’, he compares a photo of Captain Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek with a Star Trek: The Next Generation NES Absolute 1993 graphic, and an illustration of the Predator (NES) Activision 1989 game with a still from the movie. Other creative mashups include the 1989 Batman film, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Home Alone.
