Designers Battle It Out In Weekly Challenge, Create Fun Typographic Images

London-based graphic designer Oliver Booth and Dave Greasley have embarked on a series of weekly typographic and design challenges.

To celebrate the first anniversary of their studio Side by Side, the duo came up with the idea of "Side vs Side"—to pit their work against each other's as they noticed that "client briefs can occasionally be restricted by timescales and budgets".

Each challenge involves a question or a task that will be set each week, which can be dealt with in any way they deem fit within an A4 format, using a budget of £100.

The themes they had to work on include "What was your biggest worry when starting up Side by Side?" and "Represent the last year however you like and represent the other person however you like".

Follow this creative project on their blog. You can also vote for your favorite design each week—scores are humorously recorded in health bars that are similar to those in an arcade fighting game.
