UK-based artist Michelle Mckinney has created elegant art pieces out of hand-cut, ultra fine woven metal.
Inspired by elements of nature, the woven metal are cut and shaped to resemble leaves, butterflies and seeds to form the installations.
Mckinney explained that the contrast between subject matter and materials is also an important theme for her—for example, a translucent and delicate butterfly wing was created in stainless steel, an industrial material.
