Last year, we featured these adorable photos of a toddler and his puppy dozing off together.
They were taken by mother of three and lifestyle blogger Jessica Shyba, who had brought the puppy Theo home from the Santa Cruz SPCA for Christmas the year before. She uploads the photos to her mommasgonecity Instagram account.
Fast forward six months, and the pair are still going strong with their daily naps. Little Beau is nearly two-and-a-half years old now while Theo has grown from a tiny puppy into a young dog, easily dwarfing his human companion.
Though they might have grown in size and age, the bond between them remains as strong as ever, as evidenced by Shyba’s photos.
“I’m constantly reminded that we are still at the beginning of their relationship and our story now that Theo is in it is changing all the time in the best ways,” said Shyba.
