Singapore-based artist Keng Lye certainly has a knack for bringing her art to life.
Her project titled "Alive Without Breath" showcases a stunning collection of three-dimensional sea creatures that are actually just paintings and not real—these pieces are inspired by Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori.
Made from repeatedly pouring and painting layers of resin and acrylic into glasswares, metal buckets and wooden boxes, these artworks create optical illusions that make the animals in them look as though they are really alive.
