The World's First Smart Lighter That Helps You To Quit Smoking

A startup from Boston, Massachusets, named QuitBit, has produced the world’s first smart lighter that aims to help you quit smoking.

QuitBit is an Internet-connected lighter with the same tracking usage as fitness trackers such as Jawbone or FitBit.

Users of QuitBit can log the data of how many cigarettes they have smoked, as well as how long it has been since their last cigarette. They can also simply set their own plans to cut down on cigarettes, and monitor the process through an app on their smartphone.

Having a physical item such as the lighter with LED-enabled reminders helps to remind one of their goals.

The project is currently seeking funds on Kickstarter.
