Most people would opt to be buried or cremated when they finally ‘kick the bucket’—but how about uploaded onto the internet?
Memmento is an online cemetery that lets mourners create a virtual obituaries of their dearly departed—which they can invite friends and families to visit the memorial.
According to the website’s description, users are able to preserve the memory of their loves ones for eternity—allowing generations to remember who their ancestors were.
It functions like a traditional cemetery by letting users place virtual candles and flowers on the virtual tombstones of the deceased.
Loved ones can even upload videos and pictures on the ‘Memorial’ wall—creating a ‘virtual identity’, so visitors can find out more about the person.
Memmento is currently free of charge with countless number of memorials already posted online.
