To dispel the idea that sugar-laden soft-drinks can only be bad for you, Japan is introducing a special edition of Pepsi that will help you slim down by reducing fat absorption.
After the launch of the zero-calorie “Diet Pepsi”, this fat-blocking soda seems like a natural development for the health-conscious Japanese.
Designated as “food for specific health uses”, “Pepsi Special” is regulated by the Japanese government and has its seal of approval.
With a “crisp, refreshing and unique” aftertaste, this new beverage will be released across the country on 13 November 2012, priced at ¥150 (about US$1.87).
