News outlet Quartz has come up with a sobering beer index showing ‘How many hours of minimum wage work it takes to earn a beer’ in different states and countries around the world.
It was tabulated by dividing the average price locals pay for a beer by the hourly minimum wage of a standard 40-hour work week.
Georgia is right at the bottom, where it takes more than half a day just to earn a pint, whereas in Puerto Rico it takes only 12 minutes.
Beer-lovers, that’s all the reason you need to make the big move.
