Based in Seattle, a creative chef by the name of Mike came up with these cute Star Wars-themed macarons to celebrate Star Wars day this year.
Mike’s friend, Tiffany, gave him a book written by Mindy Cone, titled Gourmet French Macarons. The chef learned how to bake macarons by reading the book and watching some of her YouTube videos.
After he had learned how to make macarons, he used royal icing to make the Star Wars-themed shells. He dyed the filling in the R2-D2 macarons blue, and made sure that his Death Star macarons were in the appropriate colors as well.
