Fun, Interactive Installation Turns Black Walls Into Colorful Artwoks

Israeli artist Itay Ohaly has created a fun and interactive installation titled "Colored Memories" in Design Museum Holon that invokes childhood nostalgia for "surprise, discovery and magic".

This installation aims to create two different experiences—the first room is completely covered in black, inviting visitors to freely express their imaginations by scratching them to reveal the colors painted beneath. The second room is the artist's own interpretation of the project, planned and etched using a CNC machine.

The project is a blend of "playful, analog childish world with professional digital technologies".
