A company by the name of Morphotonix has come up with a way to print holographic rainbow patterns onto chocolate.
First, a special mold made out of metal is created. This mold contains microstructures that refract light, which enables its creators to print a rainbow pattern onto the chocolate.
Another plastic mold is made from the metal, and liquid chocolate is injected into them. The refractive microstructures will be imprinted on the chocolate’s surface, creating beautiful patterns on it.
This unique method of printing works well on milk and dark chocolate, but does not work as well on others. The company is trying to make these lovely chocolates a reality by working with a German manufacturer.
What do you think—aren’t these psychedelic chocolates too pretty to eat?
