Infographic: 10 Lies Your Parents Told You

Parents sometimes tell their kids lies for various reasons, such as, making their kids finish their vegetables, or making them believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.



Column Five Media has created an infographic—titled ‘10 Ways Your Parents Lied To You About Your Body’—that looks at the 10 lies parents tell their kids’ that concern their bodies.



When your parents said “you’ll ruin your eyes if you read in low light!”, the truth is, reading in low light won’t permanently affect your vision, but just strains your eyes. All you’d need is rest to refresh them.



When they said “you’ll catch a cold if you don’t put on a jacket!”, the truth is that cold is caused by a virus—and spending more time indoors/enclosed spaces around people actually aids in spreading the virus.
