A Handy Guide That Recommends Wine Based On Your Favorite Beer

Zach Mack of New York City-based craft beer company Alphabet City Beer Company has teamed up with online wine information site VinePair to create an infographic that recommends wine based on your favorite type of beer, and vice versa.

According to the infographic, if you love fruity wheat beer you’ll appreciate the tropical flavors of a Chardonnay, and if you’re partial to a smooth pale ale, you’ll find the mellow notes of a Merlot particularly pleasing. Likewise, fans of toasty, dark Imperial stout will enjoy the full, intense mouthfeel of a Cabernet Sauvignon.

It’s a super useful guide for both beer and wine lovers who don’t know how to choose varieties that suit their palates, and will definitely come in handy the next time you’re at the supermarket stocking up.
