We love well-executed food art and Gamene, a New York City-based former lawyer, has created some amazing bento lunches that certainly tick all of our boxes.
She first started putting together these lovely bento boxes when she was working as a Manhattan attorney—these “healthy, colorful, and artistic lunch boxes guaranteed at least one moment of harmony during her busy work day”.
Following the Japanese bento style, the talented cook ensured that her lunches are made up of nutritious ingredients that include lots of brightly colored fruits and vegetables—in many cases, even the rice has been dyed a sweet pastel shade.
The defining element of these bento boxes is the inclusion of adorable characters that have been creatively crafted from food—for instance, bunnies made from hard-boiled eggs and piglets moulded from rice balls.
