Artist Matt W. Moore—who created these bright and lovely murals—collaborated with engineer Aaron Panone to create his “Numerically Controlled Series”, a collection of beautifully intricate geometric drawings.
Technically, Moore has not drawn these pieces himself—they are made, with astonishing precision, by 3-axis CNC machine that holds a Sharpie marker and mimics the pressure of a human hand while it draws.
The resulting prints has a mesmerizing, almost hypnotic, quality that is due in large part to the complexity of their patterns and their symmetry.
