Dublin artist Mick Minogue is a huge fan of Game Of Thrones—so much so that he has created his very own set of action figures.
However, Minogue was asked to avoid referring to the TV series when he made his toys, and could only draw inspiration from the books. The artist did not see this as a restriction, but rather, as an opportunity to be as imaginative as possible.
Minogue chose to call his series “Battle Damage”, choosing eight characters who have been maimed or killed in some way. He admitted that there were too many characters to choose from and may make more action figures in the future.
These works of art will be exhibited at the “Winter Is Coming”, A Song of Fire and Ice art show at the Ltd. Gallery in Seattle. It ends on 23 March 2014.
