Established by Jeff Bennett, The Stinky Candle Company produces a range of candles that are scented with unusual and disgusting smells.
Based in Chicago, the inventor came up with his range as he was sick and tired of normal scented candles. Currently, there are 25 candles up for sale on the website, and the inventor hopes to expand his range.
Some disgusting smells include that of car exhaust, urine, body odor, and money. There are also scented candles that smell like fast food and bacon.
Bennett set up the company with a friend, and found a fragrance house that helped him develop various smells. He proceeds with the scent if he feels like it is authentic enough.
“Most people think it’s gross when they first hear about it, but they laugh and then are curious to smell them,” Bennett stated. Indeed, there are some intriguing scents—like one named “Spawn Of The Devil”, for instance.
