Redditor bigafricanhat has created two maps of the United States that highlight the best and worst attribute from each individual state.
For example, California has the “highest gross state product”, but is the “worst state for business”, while New York has the “lowest suicide rate”, but has the “most religious hate crimes”.
Describing how he came up with the statistics, he said, “The information was mostly taken from Slate Master. For States that didn’t have anything applicable on State Master, I Googled phrases such as ‘X State ranked best’ or ‘X State rated number one’, and used recent news articles. All stats are per capita, where applicable.”
For those living in the US, what do you think? Are the maps biased?
