Luca Iaconi-Stewart has built an incredibly detailed model of a Boeing-777 airplane entirely out of manila folders.

Built at a scale of 1:60, the model features amazingly true-to-life details of an actual plane, including seats, cabin furnishings, overhead bins, lavatories, and even retractable landing gear.

Iaconi-Stewart began working on his project five years ago and even dropped out of school to concentrate on building it, according to an interview with Wired. He designed the aircraft in Adobe Illustrator based on a detailed diagram of an Air India 777-300 ER plane.

The construction was a painstakingly laborious process; a single economy seat took 20 minutes to craft and a business class seat took four to six hours, while a first class seat took eight hours. The engine took a whooping month to design and four months to build, and the entire model was assembled with tweezers and glue.

Mind-blowing in its complexity and attention to detail, Iaconi-Stewart’s creation is a stellar example of the magic that paper, glue, patience, and creativity can weave.
