New York-based artist Kim Keever’s latest solo exhibition entitled ‘Across The Volumes’ is a series of abstract artwork in which he drops colored industrial paint-tints into a 200-gallon fish tank of water.
As each drop of color descends, they dissolve, disperse and intermingle, creating beautiful blooms of color and abstract forms, some of which look like nuclear explosions.
Keever’s artworks lean towards being scientific and experimental, because of his former employment at NASA, and explains that “each pigment has different properties that effect how they are pulled by gravity through the molecules of water.”
