London-based photographer Jenny Lewis, whom we have previously featured, has an ongoing portrait series entitled ‘One Day Young’ of mothers and their one-day-old babies.
In adding to the series, she continues to tell the story of each woman and the birth of her baby through the powerful images.
Describing each portrait, she said, “All the subjects who have taken part mean so much to me...There are so many stories - single mothers, women struggling with older handicapped children, and a young couple who had only just met and got a little over-excited on New Years Eve."
