If you’re heading to Norway anytime soon, be sure to check out this lookout point that not only lets you view breathtaking scenery, but also makes you feel like you’re walking off the end of a cliff.
Designed by architects Todd Saunders and Tommie Wilhelmsen, and commissioned by the Norwegian Highway Department, the ‘Aurland Lookout’ is located above the small town Aurland, in Sogn og Fjordan.
Constructed using materials that blend into the existing terrain, the viewing platform is made to look like a simple giant diving board—and has a glass barrier at its most protruding end to dramatize the ‘edgy’ experience, so that visitors can take in the entire landscape without any obstruction.
