An Illustrated Guide To Pronouncing Food Names From Various Cultures

Written by Rachel Sanders and illustrated by Chris Ritter from Buzzfeed, this is a guide to pronouncing the different types of food from various cultures.

From more common mispronunciations like “espresso” and “foie gras”, this list also includes food names that your tongue may trip over, like “prosciutto” and “vichyssoise”.

Yet, Sanders has stated that this is not a definitive pronunciation guide as people from different regions may pronounce the names of these foods differently.

This list still has its uses, and you won’t be made a fool when you dine at a fancy restaurant.
