The video-sharing website is not abandoning its old, original logo, it told Mashable; however, it will be using its “play button for apps and icons”.
The new look for its apps and icons was unveiled on its social media pages, such as Facebook, YouTube and Google+, as a new profile picture—as well as when users updated the YouTube app for their iOS devices.
