Picture frames are usually used to enhanced artworks and are rarely seen as works of art themselves—in collaboration with 3D illustration studio Forge & Morrow, agency Banjo created a typeface that puts picture frames in the creative limelight.
Coming up with illustrations of highly detailed and ornate picture frames, the 3D artists then used them to composed a striking font that spells out the word “picture”.
Each letter in the word is made up of elements that are inspired by an idyllic past-time—while the letter “c” is made up of passport stamps that symbolizes travel, the letter ‘i’ is made up of garden plants and gardening tools.
