Beautiful, Symmetrical Photographs Of Deserted Swimming Pools

French photographer Franck Bohbot proves that beauty can be found in the most ordinary of places with his photo series “Swimming Pools”, where he brings out the stunning symmetry of indoor pools.

Carefully positioning his camera at a centralized location, his photographs has a strict consistency and pleasing mirror effect, which appeals to the part of us that is always searching for order in the visual landscape.

From the lovely high ceilings to the striking geometric details, these pictures show how the right perspective can transform a space—we especially love the swimming pools where the bright paintwork contrasts with the blue of the water.

Each pool is captured as being completely devoid of people, which we assume is a way of ensuring that nothing distracts the viewer from their architectural elements.

The photographer has applied the same symmetrical technique to his images of other places, including the famous Louvre museum in Paris—check out his website for more of his striking photography.
