In The Netherlands, Tilted Cube Shaped Roofs Group Houses Together

The cube shaped houses in The Netherlands are quite a sight to behold.

Called “Kubuswoningen”, these quirky houses were designed by architect Piet Blom as a creative way of building high density housing, with each cube balanced on a hexagonal shaped pylon.

With the roof of each house being tilted at 45 degrees, these houses are all attached to each other.

Located on Overblaak Street, beside Blaak Subway station, visitors can take a peek in one of the houses which is open to visitors.
