As a step to save the earth, California-based company Oxgut recycles retired fire hoses, and turns them into indoor and outdoor furniture and accessories.
From floor-mats and chairs, to garden hammocks and eyewear holders—and even slippers and bottle holders—the fire hoses salvaged from US fire departments, that were originally destined for landfills, are given a new life to be made useful again.
What makes it even better, is that—according to Oxgut—a portion of the profits of each fire hose-product bought goes to The Children’s Burn Foundation.
